BASS AUTOMATION was founded in SOUTH FLORIDA back in 1989. The goal of the company was to provide the latest and most effective energy conservation and water use management technology to high rise buildings. Bass has a tradition of using the highest quality components, carefully installed, for long lasting service and fast payback.

Loren Long has been president of the company since its inception.

BASS AUTOMATION ENGINEERING, INC. is a distributor for various lines of HVAC control equipment, including YASKAWA (adjustable frequency drives), ASI (computerized automation) and Enolgas (automatic valves). The COGENTICS automatic AC reset switch was designed at BASS and is manufactured exclusively through us. BASS has also helped design and engineer the "CondoPAC" advanced water conservation / leak detection / flood prevention systems.

BASS designed, developed and installed the first VARIABLE FLOW CONDENSER SYSTEM over twenty five years ago. This system uses frequency drives to modulate the flow of large condenser pumps in water-source heat pump systems. It is one of the best investments a building can make, with a guaranteed return on investment of 30% to 60% per year. We have constantly refined and improved the system over the years for efficient, trouble-free performance.

Besides direct installations, we promote the VARIABLE FLOW CONDENSER SYSTEM by working with leading AC contractors, providing them equipment, drawings, and on site commissioning of frequency drives and controls.

In its capacity as distributor of Enolgas valves, BASS works very closely with the Italian manufacturer. Bass has suggested several advanced features and modifications of their automatic ball valve, including the quick cable-connect feature, that make the valve more reliable and easy to use than any of its competitors.
